Cruz Beckham is the latest celebrity child to follow in the musical footsteps of his famous parents. Son of professional soccer player David Beckham and fashion designer and Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, Cruz has now released his first single with an original holiday single, “If Everyday Was Christmas.”
The 11 year-old released the song at the beginning of the month and has now dropped a music video, complete with snow, glitter and skateboards.
Cruz is joined by his three siblings in the video, including older brothers, Brooklyn (17) and Romeo (14), and little sister Harper (5). The Beckham kids run through the snowy streets of London and look exactly as happy as we would expect wealthy, genetically blessed kids to look.
All proceeds from the single are being donated to the charity Make Some Noise.
Cruz is the latest of the Beckham children to enter the public eye, with Brooklyn modelling for Burberry. Cruz is already being repped by manager Scooter Braun, who managed to successfully guide the careers of Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson during their awkward teenage years. He has just the right amount of singing talent and cuteness to guarantee popularity with the tween crowd, even if Piers Morgan isn’t a fan. He’s not in the target demo anyway.
Cruz also uploaded behind-the-scenes clips from the shooting of his music video to 280,000 Instagram followers, as well as a video of him singing his song while wearing a Purpose Tour hat, because the Braun machine never stops.
But Cruz isn’t the first Beckham to rock out to a holiday tune. Mom Posh Spice put her own spin on Christmas back in 1998 with a cover of The Waistresses’ “Christmas Wrapping.” The lyrics are a downer, but the beat is just so happy!
