Demi Lovato And Clean Bandit Turn Bad Boyfriends Into Dogs In ‘Solo’ Video

Men really are dogs, and Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato are here to prove it. The duo has just released their latest music video for highly anticipated collab “Solo,” and it’s exactly the 2018 summer bop that we need.

The vibrant, playful EDM track falls perfectly in line with the motifs of the music video—dogs, rainbows, and summer vibes. Lovato looks like a sun-kissed goddess while she lounges on a couch, crooning about the loss of a relationship while the storyline of the video unfolds.

The opening scene starts off with a negligent boyfriend who is acting violent towards Clean Bandit percussion and vocalist, Grace Chatto, who plays his girlfriend in the video. Chatto takes action by cruising down to a patchy looking chemistry lab disguised as a laundromat, where she purchases a magical pill that will turn her bummy beau into an adorable puppy dog with rainbow fur. Talk about lover’s revenge.

While pink-haired Grace vivaciously skates around town, remaining Clean Bandit members Jack and Luke Patterson turn into mad scientists in the basement of the lab in attempt to prepare the perfect revenge potion.

This isn’t the first hard-hitting collaboration that Clean Bandit has under their belt—the British EDM trio has already created smash singles with prolific pop superstars: “I Miss You” featuring  Julia Michaels “Symphony” featuring Zara Larsson, and “Rockabye” featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie. The group shared their excitement the track’s debut on social media, stating that it was a dream working with Lovato.

As for Lovato, it seems as if the Tell Me You Love Me era has come to an end, as she revealed on Twitter that there will be no more singles from 2017 album,  but new music is on the way…very, very soon.
