If you watched this year’s Academy Award nominated film The Revenant and thought, ‘this would be nicer with a beautiful woman and way less bear attacks’, then you’re in luck. Demi Lovato has delivered with her new music video for Stone Cold, a gripping ballad that will surely provide great catharsis karaoke for many heartbroken fans.
Demi posted behind the scenes clips leading up to the video’s debut, showing off the gorgeous wilderness where shooting took place. That is definitely not a sound stage.
Lovato credits the song as her favourite from her 2015 album Confident and the most emotional video she’s ever shot.
Lovato spends much of the video in tears, whether she’s attempting to walk through two feet of snow, or sitting in front of a fire and then taking a bath after walking through said snow. We can’t even imagine how uncomfortable a wool sweater in a tub would feel, but good for Demi for keeping the focus on the song and not on sex appeal, a difficult feat for the naturally gorgeous performer.
The new song feels a long way from Confident’s lead single, Cool For The Summer, which was released last August. The woman knows how to write a song for every season.
Demi Lovato kicks off her Future Now Tour with Nick Jonas this June, with the tour hitting six Canadian cities.
