Drake’s ‘Know Yourself’ Gets A Gritty Makeover Courtesy of Dilly Dally

Drake might be the 6 God, but he does share the streets that he runs through (woes in tow) with handful of talented Toronto born-and-bred musicians, including Dilly Dally.

Dilly Dally, a four-piece fronted by Katie Monks, covered Drizzy’s Know Yourself and turned it into a loud, grunge masterpiece, almost unrecognizable from the original. The official anthem of The 6 is transformed by heavy guitars and Monks’ growls. This really is that nasty flow that Drake rapped about.

“Whenever I’m not in Toronto and I hear Drake, it reminds me of home,” Monks told Vulture, who premiered the track. “So I guess what I’m trying to say is that, when something in your life that you never really cared for disappears … you realize how significant it is.”
