It’s been three years since Canadian electro-pop band Dragonette came out with the album Bodyparts, and while the band has stayed busy in the past few years with covers and collabs, the trio is officially back with their new single, Let The Night Fall. Today, we are premiering the music video for the epic new track, which you can watch below.
The video is a visual adventure, following two girls as they leave a bar (where Dragonette front woman Martina Sorbara is seen performing) to wander in the sun-soaked streets and fields, before finding a friend, shoving roses down their pants and finally heading home where they magically find a portal into another dimension. On Sorbara’s end, she gains two fans at the bar who later join her in a three-person dance party by the pool. It’s a odd series of events, but one that fills us with wonder and a desire to go out and explore.
The track itself is a fun dance number with an explosive chorus that’ll surely fill dance floors in the coming months with the determined and excited tag line: “Yeah, we step it up when the sun goes down/Let the fall, let the night fall.”
