Drake’s forthcoming fifth studio album Scorpion is only a few days away from being released, and although there are still few details on the potential double record, Champagne Papi has been giving out major album teases lately.
Ahead of the big release, Drizzy has dropped a trailer for the new album featuring hazy images of the Toronto rap star behind the wheel and in the studio. Oddly enough the trailer doesn’t actually feature any music off Scorpion and is instead sound tracked by Moderat’s minimal tune “The Mark (Interlude),” which was used in the sci-fi film Annihilation. Check out the trailer for the new album below.
Drake has also been promoting Scorpion around Toronto as of late with a series of billboards featuring cryptic messages such as “IS THERE MORE,” “A SIDE B SIDE,” and “DON’T HIT ME WHEN YOU HEAR THIS.”

Scorpion follows the 31-year-old rapper’s last album, More Life, which dropped back in March 2017. Since 2015, Aubrey Drake Graham has released at least one full-length project—album, mixtape, or playlist—every year since, meaning everything is right on schedule for some new Drizzy material.
Prior to the new record, Drake released the two-song project Scary Hours, which included the hit “God’s Plan.” “Nice for What” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, taking the spot from “God’s Plan,” which reigned on the top of the chart for 11 weeks.
Scorpion is set to drop this Friday, June 29.
