Ed Sheeran And Khalid’s Collab Comes Equipped With A Video And Snapchat Filter

Ahead of Ed Sheeran’s upcoming album drop is the music video (and a Snapchat filter) for its third single, “Beautiful People.”

This collab track with Khalid is the opening song of the album titled No. 6 Collaborations Project coming July 12. So far, Sheeran has also given us “I Don’t Care” with Justin Bieber, and “Cross Me” with Chance The Rapper, though the album is set to bring us many more duets with the likes of Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Travis Scott, and more.

But the collabs doesn’t stop at other artists—it appears that Sheeran has also partnered with Snapchat to create an exclusive filter for the single, and okay it’s probably our new fave.

There’s a snapchat filter of Beautiful People, it makes you look like this. Use it well

The music video features an ordinary couple being well, ordinary in the middle of some extraordinary partying people, which is highkey on brand with Sheeran’s long-touted underdog image. The track is a perfect honeyed blend of Sheeran and Khalid’s vocals. But is it just us or does the beat—especially during the chorus—sound very similar to the opening of another Ed Sheeran collab? Hint: A certain K-pop superstar group’s track that rhymes with “Fake Bit Tight.”

Back in April, BTS released the Sheeran-penned track “Make It Right,” which appeared on their most recent release, Map Of The Soul: Persona. Like “Beautiful People,” both tracks had a distinct synth-horn beat laced throughout the song.

Check out “Beautiful People” above and let us know if you hear the resemblance too.
