Ed Sheeran Releases Tracklist For No.6 Collaborations Project

Remember when Ed Sheeran announced a new record and then dropped two singles in the span of only a few weeks? Well, we just lucked out and got more album info from Mr. Sheeran himself.

We already knew that the upcoming album, No.6 Collaborations Project, would be full of collaborators (the name kind of gave it away), but Sheeran has officially announced who those collabs are with. And oh man, it’s an exciting list.

Aside from previously released singles, “I Don’t Care” featuring Justin Bieber, and “Cross Me” featuring Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock, there will be 13 other tracks with even more diverse artists. They include Khalid, Travis Scott, Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, and so many more. None of these artists seem to be new to the collab life, so we can be sure they all slayed on their respective songs.

Some artists like Eminem and Justin Bieber have in fact worked with Sheeran before, either for writing or singing, so it’s nice to see some familiar faces, but most are newbies to working with him. Are we surprised by any of the new artists? As a matter of fact, we are. A joint track with Camila Cabello and Cardi B? Seems unexpected. Featuring Skrillex on a song? No clue how that will turn out. Mixing Ed Sheeran’s pop, Bruno Mars’ funk, and Chris Stapleton’s country on one track? A unique decision. But no matter how unexpected these collabs are, our favourite ginger always delivers so we know they’ll be great.

No.6 Collaborations Project, out on July 12, will be Sheeran’s first album since 2017’s Divide, an album that spurred hits like “Shape of You,” “Galway Girl,” “Perfect,” and “Happier.” In the time between the release of his last album and this upcoming one, he’s collabed with Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Eminem, and Lil Dicky and is starring in the upcoming film Yesterday. Oh, we can’t forget the most bizarre project of them all—a partnership with Heinz to create “Edchup.” You heard that right.
