Ed Sheeran Plays ‘Trap Queen’ As Only Ed Sheeran Can

Trap Queen M

Taylor Swift once said that when she first heard bestie Ed Sheeran’s singing voice, she had never been so jealous of something in all her life. We totally get it, Taylor.

While appearing on The Tonight Show this week, Ed and house band The Roots took some time to make what honestly looks like a well-produced music video as they remade Fetty Wap’s Trap Queen. Sure, there’s definitely a romantic element to the original, but then Sheeran went and made a version that is worthy of a first dance at a wedding. Magic.

It’s no surprise that Sheeran has covered one of the biggest rap songs of the year. Naming Eminem as one of his favourite artists, Sheeran is known almost as well for his rapping skills as he is for his melodic singing voice.

Check out Ed Sheeran and The Roots performing Trap Queen below and don’t miss Ed when he co-hosts and performs at the 2015 MMVAs on Sunday, June 21.
