Ed Sheeran is a workaholic. The solo artist has played over 200 shows in the past two years, hosted the MMVAs, released a new album, appeared on TV, and is currently combining touring and shooting a secret role in an upcoming period piece.
While it may seem like a schedule that packed leaves zero room for fun, Sheeran has managed to achieve some work-life balance and it often involves partying with celebs. Thankfully for his fans, it also often involves him talking about these celebs and giving us a window into the A-list.
Ed recently sat down for an extensive interview with his friend and famed UK radio host Zane Lowe. Among the many topics, the two discussed Sheeran’s recent interaction with Toronto artist The Weeknd. The two met up recently, most likely while in town performing during the MMVAs.
After hanging out at a party at The Weeknds house (“He has good parties”), Sheeran revealed that the two connected again the following day and wrote a song together.
Pause for brain explosion.
Somewhere in the universe right now there is a song that exists with The Weeknd and Ed Sheeran together. I don’t want to get all ‘that would be so mean if they didn’t release what is obviously going to be our favourite song of all time’…but yeah.
