Ellie Goulding has just dropped her latest music video and is delivering all the friendship feels.
Goulding first spoke about the personal track Army back in October the day before she released her third studio album, Delirium. The British singer posted a long message about the track on her Instagram page, saying that she wrote the song for her best friend and in dedication to her fans.
Goulding didn’t explicitly name her bestie in her Instagram post, but in the new video for Army, released today, the opening card reads ‘For my best friend Hannah and my incredible fans.’ That will definitely be a difficult birthday present to beat.
Ellie and friend Hannah Lowe met in college and stayed friends after graduation, with Lowe now travelling the world with Goulding as her personal assistant.
The new black and white video features lots of screen time of the two besties, with footage of Ellie and Hannah traveling and playing gigs around the world. The home footage is combined with close-up shots of Goulding performing the emotional ballad, which acts as Delirium’s second single.
