Eminem Releases New Song ‘Campaign Speech’

Eminem just released a surprise, eight-minute long track titled “Campaign Speech,” leaving us dizzy after one spin through the minimalist beat and rapid fire rhymes.

He announced the song on Twitter this morning, adding that there’s even more to come.

Eminem is known for writing controversial lyrics, and “Campaign Speech” isn’t short of debate-worthy lines. He attacks Donald Trump, rapping, “Consider me a dangerous man/ But you should be afraid of this dang candidate/ You say Trump don’t kiss ass like a puppet?/ ‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the funding?/ And that’s what you wanted?/ A f*ckin’ loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button/ Who doesn’t have to answer to no one?/ Great idea!”

There are a LOT of other names from the news that come up in the song, including George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin, Dylan Roof and Colin Kaepernick.

The last solo album Eminem released was 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, but he was featured on Skylar Grey’s “Kill For You” and on the Suicide Squad soundtrack since that album. Fans are definitely hungry for more—“Campaign Speech” trended worldwide on Twitter as fans expressed excitement about the track and a new album.

Even though we don’t yet know when Eminem plans on releasing his new album, if the rest of it is anything like “Campaign Speech,” we might not be ready.
