Everything We Learned From The Hunger Games Comic-Con Panel

Hunger Games Panel Main

The cast of the Hunger Games made their final appearance as a group at San Diego’s Comic Con this week (pause for ugly crying) and answered fan questions as well as questions ‘written’ by moderator Conan O’Brien.

The entire panel lasted 46 minutes and if you’re short on time today, but still need your PanAm fix, we’ve picked out the most touching and hilarious moments.

“I could have been a guy that lived underground for 48 years, never exposed to sunlight.” Conan O’Brien on being a member of District 13.

“I’m Team Josh.” Conan showing off his Hunger Games knowledge.

“It’s a very very emotional conclusion. It’s emotional for us and I think it’s emotional for audiences and we want to deliver for the fans. They’ve delivered for us, we want to deliver for them.” Producer Nina Jacobson on the final film.

“I have written hastily a script for a new one and if you guys are willing to make it, I play a large part in the next one. It will be very unpopular.” Conan’s response to continuing the Hunger Games trilogy.

“When we last saw Peeta his memories had been hijacked and he was not Katniss’ biggest fan. That’s what it says right here. That’s the nicest way to say ‘trying to choke the life out of somebody’.” Conan posing a question to Josh Hutcherson.

“He couldn’t stay away for long. He couldn’t resist this.” Jennifer to Josh on Peeta’s hatred towards Katniss.

“I was watching the last film and I have to say, when you went out to get the cat I was so mad at you.” Conan to Willow Shields about her character Primrose in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

“Who names someone Peeta?” Liam Hemsworth responding after his Australian accent sounded like Peter.

“We have a really emotional scene together and there might be a kiss between Josh and I.” Liam on his favourite scene from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

“There’s no way of saying this that doesn’t start rumours, but that night we held each other and slept like puppies.” Jennifer on the last day of filming.

“Woody gave a slur.” Josh’s response after Conan being surprised that Woody Harrelson gave a speech on the final day of filming.

“All the Districts are not super fun.” Willow deciding where she’d live if she could choose anywhere in PanAm.

“I’d probably say, ‘it’s alright mate, there’s plenty of fish in the sea’.” Liam on what he would tell Gale.

“First of all it’s not a crossbow, it’s a longbow. Crossbows are easy.” Jennifer correcting Conan.

“I’m gonna be honest. Every time I try to do it, it comes out as the X-Files.” Liam on the Mockingjay whistle.
