Everything You Missed At The Teen Choice Awards

Last night the 2019 Teen Choice Awards took place, and we’ve got you covered in case you missed it. Hosted by David Dobrik and Lucy Hale, the star-studded event had some seriously memorable moments. It’s no surprise that Stranger Things, Riverdale, and The Avengers all won big, but you may have missed some unexpected winners or red carpet moments.

Taylor Swift’s Iconic Moment

The ME!” singer took home the coveted inaugural Icon Award, but her speech is what stole the show. Taylor showed her support for the U.S. women’s soccer team and their fight for equal pay, after accepting the award from World Cup winner Alex Morgan. She posted a cute Insta after, and we can’t get enough of either of the 13s looks.

Lauren Jauregui Announces Debut Album

On the red carpet, the singer announced her long awaited solo album would be released in 2020. The singer took home an award last night for her song “Expectations,” beating out two of 2019’s biggest artists, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande. While we still have some time until 2020 rolls around, we have no doubt this album will be worth the wait.

Jonas Brothers Full Circle Moment

The Jo Bros took home the Decade Award last night, and we could not think of a better way to celebrate their comeback success. During their speech, Kevin mentioned how the first award they had ever won was a Teen Choice award—their excitement winning the Decade Award all these years later could not be cuter, and we can’t think of anyone who deserves it as much as these boys.

K-pop Won Big

Both the girls and guys of K-pop took home awards last night, and we were blessed with a performance by Monsta X. BTS took home four awards, including the Choice Fandom award for ARMYs. BLACKPINK and Red Velvet each took home one award as well.

Summer Style Heated Up The Red Carpet

The best part of any award show, the fashion last night did not disappoint. The red carpet was full of bright colours, and a casual vibe, perfect for the show and season.

Digital Creators Were Celebrated Too

It was a huge night for digital creators. With an entire awards category dedicated to digital, and the show hosted by YouTube star David Dobrik, it’s no surprise that The Dolan Twins and Emma Chamberlain also fared well. Although next year,we’re hoping to see a digital award for most cursed TikTok.
