Fifth Harmony Reveal Cover Art And Release Date For Third Album

After experiencing a huge band shake up that included the departure of original member Camila Cabello last year, Fifth Harmony promised their Harmonizers that they would continue to release new music with the band. Just announced this week, Fifth Harmony are set to release their third studio album with the self-titled Fifth Harmony on August 25.

The four-piece, including Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, have remained tight-lipped about their upcoming disc, but we’ve managed to round up some info on Fifth Harmony.

The new album has a trippy cover.

Fifth Harmony unveiled their new album cover this week, featuring a trippy image of the four members. Or is that eight?

The new album sounds the most authentic of any Fifth Harmony disc.

Fans have already had a preview of the new album thanks to the band’s lead single “Down” featuring Gucci Mane, with 5H saying the new disc is the most ‘authentic’ they’ve ever sounded.

The women have helped to write the new album.

One of the things the group is most excited for this time around is their writing credits. Says Dinaj Jane, has “been able to go write with the producers and the writers. It’s just so important that we get involved.”

They’re the happiest they’ve ever been.

According to Ally Brooke, the group is the happiest they’ve ever been. “We are doing so incredible,” says Brooke. “We are the happiest we’ve ever been and so many exciting things are happening for us right now. So we’re just doing incredible.” While some fans may take this as a dig at former member Camila Cabello, in the same interview the group revealed that they now have a team that understands their need for time off. “When we reach a point where we’re like, yo, we’re at our breaking point and we need a breath, our team and our management are really good about remembering that we’re humans scheduling us as such, which is something that is very new to us” says Jauregui.

They’re performing at the MTV VMAs.

This year’s MTV VMAs will the first Fifth Harmony performance since dropping their third studio album. Don’t miss Fifth Harmony, along with Ed Sheeran, Lorde, The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and more performing at the 2017 MTV VMAs on Sunday, August 27 at 8ET/5PT.

They heard you Harmonizers. See you on 8/27, @vmas
