Harmonizers, get ready to vote. After weeks of rumours, the next cast of Dancing With The Stars was announced today and included Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei.
The pop star is partnered with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, who has previously won with partners Rumer Willis and during last year’s season with Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez.
A trained gymnast and dancer, Kordei has years of experience to draw on for the upcoming season of DWTS, performing live and in front of a crowds of thousands with Fifth Harmony. We’re hoping Normani and Val will pull a song or two from the girl group’s vast catalogue of pop hits for their dance numbers. Maybe a samba to “Work From Home”?
Kordei is the first member of Fifth Harmony to appear on DWTS, although her upcoming role as part of the reality competition will likely feel somewhat familiar. Fifth Harmony was grouped together during the second season of X Factor US, where the group finished in third place.
Kordei stuns in the first press photo released from Season 24 of Dancing With The Stars just released today. Striking a strong pose with partner Val, Normani looks every bit the professional dancer in her gold bodysuit with hip chains.
The Fifth Harmony singer will have some stiff competition on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars, which is set to premiere on March 20. Two Olympians, including figure skater Nancy Kerrigan and gymnast Simone Biles, have both been cast, as has Glee star and professional dancer Heather Morris.
We have no doubt that the rest of Fifth Harmony will be in the audience to support Normani throughout the season and we’re pretty sure we know what they’re going to be cheering…
