In 2016, a lot of good stuff happened. Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar. Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd all released new albums. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson became the first man of colour in 20 years to be named People Magazine’s Sexiest Male. Taylor Swift, Zedd, Kelly Clarkson and many more celebs showed their support for Kesha and her ongoing legal battle. Beyoncé stuned the world with Lemonade. And Finding Dory made us all cry (in a good way).
But for every good thing that happened this year, there seemed to be just as many craptacular moments in 2016 that will make it a memorable year—and not in a good way. Frankly, a lot of 2016 sucked.
Thankfully, there is a way to make dealing with all the garbage moments of 2016 a little bit easier to handle. Set to the tune of Cole Porter’s “Well, Did You Evah,” Halsey, Bono and Herbie Hancock reminisce about all the stuff we want to remember from 2016 as well as the stuff we can’t wait to forget while performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Bill Cosby, Trump’s presidency and the death of Vine were all included the rewrite of the famous jazz standard, with Hancock taking on the final line, yelling, “It really did suck.” It kinda did, Herbie. It really kinda did.
