It’s a good day to be a Directioner. Not only has Niall Horan just announced that his next single “Slow Hands” will drop on May 4, but now Harry Styles has dropped the third single from his upcoming debut solo album. Volume up, head phones on.
Styles shared the news about his latest single “Sweet Creature” dropping today on his Instagram page, posting the cheeky caption “Sweet Creature is available now. Album is available in ten days. I am available always.”
“Sweet Creature” continues the early 1970s folk vibe that Styles played with in “Ever Since New York,” which he debuted during his first solo appearance on Saturday Night Live this past April (watch here).
The guitar-driven ballad has Styles reminiscing about his childhood and having a safe place to land, singing “Sweet creature, sweet creature / Wherever I go, you’ll bring me home / Sweet creature, sweet creature / When I run out of road, you’ll bring me home.”
Harry Styles’ debut self-titled album is set to be released on May 12, with the former One Direction boy bander recently announcing his first solo tour.
Styles will kick off the ‘Harry Styles Live On Tour’ dates with his opening show on September 19 in San Francisco and making only one Canadian stop in Toronto on October 4. The tour will wrap at the end of the year on December 8 in Japan.
