Harry Styles is gearing up to embark on his first solo tour starting on September 19, and is keeping fans entertained along the way. After releasing his lead single “Sign of the Times” in April and his self-titled debut album in May, the singer is now following up with his second single (the possibly Taylor Swift-inspired) “Two Ghosts.”
Singing, “Say lips red / Same eyes blue / Same white shirt / Couple more tattoos,” Styles has left signs pointing towards his relationship with Swift, but if fans were hoping for more clues in the form of a music video, they’ll have to wait. Styles has dropped the first video for “Two Ghosts,” taken from studio footage of his Apple Music documentary Harry Styles: Behind The Album.
The video features Styles in the famous Abbey Road Studios in London with his band, with the group performing Styles’ latest single. Wearing wide black pants and a black shirt, Styles’ vocals are accompanied by his band, who stand in a semi-circle performing the heartbreak ballad.
The new video is part of Styles’ Behind The Album: The Performances, which is set to be released in September by Apple Music. The collection will include full performances shot in the Abbey Road Studios from Styles’ documentary, although it’s unclear whether today’s new video will be the only visuals from “Two Ghosts” or whether a formal music video is in the works. Considering the success of “Sign of the Times,” which earned two nominations for Best Pop and Best Visual Effects at the 2017 MTV VMAs, as well as almost 136 million YouTube views and counting, we’re hoping for an official video release soon.
