If you saw last week’s two-hour premiere of HBO’s new rock and roll series Vinyl, then it’s no surprise to you that the Martin Scorsese-directed series has already been greenlit for a second season.
Following American Century record label owner Richie Finestra, played by the incredible Bobby Cannavale, the New York music scene of 1973 is explored as hip hop, punk and disco are all finding their own sound in a town known for blues and rock and roll.
On tonight’s new episode of Vinyl, we go even further back than 1973 and see where Richie’s wife Devon became one of the New York art scene’s most popular muse. That’s right. We’re going all the way back to Andy Warhol.
Executive Producer Mick Jagger has put together one of the most exciting and ambitious soundtracks of any TV series, so much so that a new soundtrack for every episode is released each week.
For tonight’s episode, Volume 2 is giving us a Gerry Lee Lewis classic as well as new tunes from Aimee Mann and New York city rocker and The Strokes frontman, Julian Casablancas.
Watch new episodes of Vinyl every Sunday at 9 PM ET/MT on HBO and check out this week’s killer soundtrack below!
Night Life, The Del-Tinos
