Here’s Everything You Didn’t See Backstage At The Grammys

1. Wanna know where Bad Gal Riri was? Probably at home in bed with a bowl of soup. The singer was told by her doctor to skip her performance of Kiss It Better or risk permanently damaging her vocal chords. We wonder what James Corden ended up doing with his 1980s suit.

2. Next time you have a big pressure event and it doesn’t go your way, just remember that these things happen, even to Adele. The UK powerhouse singer took to her Twitter account after the show to explain some of the sound issues during her performance of All I Ask, with the President of the Grammy Awards also taking full responsibility backstage.

3. The only technical difficulties the at-home audience saw during the show was when our beloved Adele performed, but she wasn’t alone. Bow Wow, who somehow scored a hosting gig, was in the Staples Center to introduce the Grammys…and introduce the Grammys and introduce the Grammys.

4. The Miscaculation of Lauryn Hill resulted in the singer completing her rehearsals on Monday with The Weeknd and then not arriving at the Grammys in time for their duet. Hill’s rep denies that the singer ever promised to make a surprise appearance. We know one person that was probably pretty surprised.

5. Taylor Swift ran the full gamut of emotions last night. She was spotted wiping tears from her eyes after missing a note during her performance of Out of the Woods and was consoled by bestie Selena Gomez.

6. Thankfully, Swift’s night turned around and the singer celebrated her incredible second win for Album of the Year backstage with her mom, her co-writer Jack Antonoff and his sister Rachael.

7. Swift also acted accordingly after winning a Grammy for Bad Blood prior to the start of the show.

We just won a Grammy for the Bad Blood music video and we are NOT OK. @selenagomez

8. Ed Sheeran got a little handsy with writer and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder during the show. No word on whether this is part of the pair’s creative process.

9. Of course Bruno Mars carries a flask with his lyrics engraved on them and of course he parties with Ed Sheeran. He’s the coolest.

Song of the year!

10. Adele and The Weeknd were seated together during last night’s show and it looks like they spent some time chatting. We’re hoping The Weeknd used his face time with the Hello singer to list all the benefits of living in Canada.

11. Sam Smith and Justin Bieber exchanged friendly hellos, or at least that’s what we think they were doing. There is a good chance that Smith mistook Bieber for Kevin Federline.

12. Was John Legend trying to do some damage control for good friend Kanye West? We hope not. That would be a full-time job.

13. Katy Perry partied with Derek Zoolander.

14. Diplo sent messages to his ‘haters’ and then partied all night.

15. And Gaga let the emotions of her David Bowie tribute flow. Slay Gaga!

The world loves you David.
