Idris Elba Rapped In A Chipmunk Voice, Remains The Coolest

idris Elba

English actor Idris Elba is best known for his dark roles in shows like Luther and The Wire, and movies like American Gangster and Beasts of No Nation. He may or may not be the next James Bond (just give the man a martini already!), but one thing that is official is that there is nothing Idris Elba can’t make cool. We have the receipts to prove it.

Earlier this year, Elba inexplicably appeared in Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ video for “Dance Off,” showcasing his impressive moves. Sounds like something that could easily be considered cool, right? Not when you’re wearing Cruella de Vil’s fur coat. Still cool.

Next there was Elba’s role as Fluke, the chilled out sea otter in this summer’s Finding Dory (our review). What could be cool about being in a kid’s movie? Oh right, everything.

To fully test his cool-o-meter, Elba appeared on The Tonight Show this week and played ‘Box of Microphones’ with host Jimmy Fallon. Going first, Elba rapped Desiigner’s “Panda”…with a chipmunk voice.

We bow down to the Master of Cool.
