Is Cara Delevingne Going To Be 2015’s Breakthrough Actress?

Cara-De header

It’s always great to see celebrities awarded for their hard work and memorable performances, but sometimes we have to sit back and ponder why and how that celebrity got that particular award. This time that lucky celeb is Cara Delevingne. Yes, fashion model, friends with everyone in Hollywood, wild gal Cara Delevingne won the breakthrough actress award at the 2015 Elle Style Awards . What? We’re just a little confused because we don’t recall her acting. So, of course we had to research and check out her IMDb to see what acting gigs she has done that we TOTALLY missed.

1. Princess Sorokina in Anna Karenina

Okay, now we really want to see this movie just to see what Cara Delevingne’s character is all about. The movie was released in 2012 and Cara acted alongside Keira Knightly and Jude Law. She wasn’t in the trailer, but she was def in the movie (for several minutes). You see!

2. Chloe in Playhouse Presents

Cara had a lead role in this episode of the UK television series called Playhouse Presents. That one episode was called “Timeless”, which was released in 2014.

3. Melanie in The Face of an Angel

This movie is set to come out this June. Cara and her co-star Kate Beckinsale were actually at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival promoting this very movie.

4. Henrietta in Tulip Fever
There is no trailer or poster of this movie yet, but we do know we will see names like Zach Galifianakis, Jack O’Connell, Alicia Vikander, and Christoph Waltz all in this movie with Cara. Oh, but we did find this video of Jack O’Connell talking about Cara’s acting. Impressive.

5. Uhh…and everything else is in post-production.

We might have missed this breakthrough actress in these previous acting roles, but according to IMBd and with the reinforcement of the Elle Style Awards, we should be looking forward to Cara’s upcoming releases in 2015.
