After a few guest appearances and a sprinkling of singles here and there, Justin Bieber is finally gracing us with a new album. It’s about time.
Bieber’s last record Journals came out in 2012 and failed to make much of a dent on the charts. Following its release, Bieber entered his hot mess years, leaving Beliebers to fear at times that we’d never get another quality album from the Canadian pop star.
But Belieb it! Justin has announced his next album will be released on November 14. That sound you just heard is Beliebers around the world breathing a sigh of relief.
Justin told Ryan Seacrest earlier this month that his upcoming single What Do You Mean will have a similar sound to Bieber’s Skrillex and Diplo collaboration Where Are Ü Now.
An album name has yet to be given and Justin hasn’t confirmed that What Do You Mean as the first single from his November 14 record, but he’s definitely promoting the track like a lead hit.
Justin has been getting help from his famous friends to countdown the August 28 release of What Do You Mean. Celebrities including Ashley Benson, James Corden, Little Mix, Big Sean, Ariana Grande, Shaq, Kylie Jenner, and Mariah Carey have all been showing their support for the Biebs. Today’s announcement even included a freestyle performance from Ed Sheeran. That’s way cooler than just holding a piece of paper.
