Temptation is high in the new music video for James Bay’s single, “Peer Pressure,” which features Julia Michaels.
Opening with Michaels’ hands draped over Bay’s shoulders, the video is as intimate as the lyrics, which describe how willing Bay is to give in to someone he’s fallen for. Michaels seems to personify that temptation in the video.
Released a little over a month after the song dropped, the simplistic video perfectly encapsulates the song.
This is Bay’s first single and video since the release of his second album Electric Lights last year. Michaels released her EP, Inner Monologue Part 1, back in January.
Bay is the latest addition to Michaels’ a long and impressive list of recent collaborators, which includes Selena Gomez, Niall Horan, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Lauv.
Both artists are currently on tour, with Michaels making stops in Vancouver April 5 and 6, Toronto May 13 and 14, and Montreal May 17 and 18 in support of Pink’s Beautiful Trauma World Tour.
