Jann Arden’s New Series Is Chaotic Comeback Comedy Gold—And Much Is Getting The Premiere Early

Mon, March, 4 by Corrina Allen

Ahead of the offish March 20 debut of Jann Arden’s new six-episode CTV series, Jann, Much is delivering a free sneak peak of the first instalment on March 4 featuring not one but two Canadian musical icons. Arden plays a fictionalized version of herself—stressed out, stretched thin, and trying to reboot her career by ‘rebranding’ and/ or ‘going viral’ (whatever works) so that she can quit playing gigs at the local farmer’s market and move back into her own house (which she currently rents out to way more successful people). Check out a slice of the show’s synopsis:

“It’s not just Jann’s career that’s on life support — she’s newly single (don’t remind her), her sister may disown her, and her mother may be showing early signs of memory loss. Jann’s personal life is in shambles and she’s convinced that the cure-all is to enlist a new manager to help rebrand her image. Filled with plenty of LOL moments, she embarks on a quest to return to greatness, but instead gets tangled in the pressures of her ‘real’ life.”

Jann is Arden at her best and funniest (remember that cameo on Wynonna Earp?) and also features appearances from funny guy Rick Mercer and singer Kiesza. And the debut episode guest star? None other than indie pop icon, Leslie Feist.

Watch the digital premiere below and tube back in on March 20 to catch Jann on CTV at 8:30ET/PT.
