By the end of 2015, we were worried that Kanye West was retiring from the rap game. Between two kids and two seasons of Yeezy for Adidas, we thought he was never going to release SWISH. But today, Yeezus has blessed us with a new track, Real Friends and bonus snippet of No More Parties In LA, which features Kendrick Lamar.
Wifey Kim Kardashian hinted at the release of new music earlier today, tweeting using the hashtags #EveryFriday, #Swish and #RealFriends.

He dropped Real Friends around 1:30 p.m. but removed the song almost immediately, explaining on Twitter that there was a “slight disortion in the main loop”. An excruciating 40 minutes passed, while the Internet sat on the edge of their seats waiting for the repost, hungry for new beats from Ye.

Several media outlets suspect that Kanye is reviving G.O.O.D. Fridays, a season where he offered new, free music every Friday leading up to the release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in 2010. A number of tracks premiered on G.O.O.D. Fridays appeared on MBDTF, including So Appalled and Devil In A New Dress.
It was also announced today that Kanye would be this year’s Governors Ball headliner, along with The Strokes and The Killers. Governors Ball, held in June, takes place New York City.
