Kanye West Announces Not One, But Two New Albums

Kanye West is feeling extra prolific these days. After returning to Twitter earlier this week, West announced that the philosophy book he announced in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter will now be written in tweets.

After sending out a handful of texts that ranged from inspiring to hilarious (intentional or not, we’re unsure), West revealed that he is also planning on dropping two new albums in June.

Tweeting Thrusday afternoon, West said that his new album has seven songs and will be arriving on June 1. He also added that he has a second album dropping one week later on June 8, which will be a collaborative effort with Kid Cudi.

West said that he and Cudi have formed a group, calling themselves Kids See Ghost. He followed up the announcement with two more music tweets, writing ‘Teyana Taylor June 22’ and ‘Pusha T May 25.’ We’re assuming these are the dates West intends on releasing tracks with Taylor and Pusha T, although at this rate, we wouldn’t be surprised if West was announcing a third and fourth album. The man is on his hustle.

It’s pretty exciting to hear that West is returning to the studio with artists he’s previously worked with on some of his strongest music. West and Pusha T have collaborated several times, including “Runaway,” “Mercy,” and “New God Flow.” West and Cudi, who spent some time beefing before rekindling their friendship in 2017, dropped their first track together with 2008’s “Welcome To Heartbreak.” As for Taylor, she lent her vocals to tracks on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and famously danced in West’s 2016 video for “Fade.”

The upcoming new music doesn’t appear to be causing West to neglect his Yeezy fashion line. The designer has also been sharing early mock ups of Yeezy shoes and clothes on Twitter, including Yeezy Slides. We’re not saying these are just Crocs, but we’re not not saying that.
