Not to leave Canada out of the fun, Toronto got its own disco ball and of course, we had to check it out. The ball was positioned right in front of the rainbow Toronto sign at Nathan Phillips Square where fans could check out the new tune then skate around the rink singing it out loud. Katy Perry knows the way to a Canadian’s heart is through their skates.

The cold couldn’t keep the Katy Cats away, and we were able to rock out to the catchy disco track. With a bold dance beat and Sia-penned lyrics, “Chained To The Rhythm” showcases a new sound for Perry that’s headed to the top of the charts—or at the very least, the top of our party playlists.
“Turn it up, it’s your favourite song / Dance, dance, dance,” Perry commands on the reggae-influenced track.
The rest of the world still has to wait till Friday to hear the full song, but Perry did release a snippet for fans who couldn’t make it out to a disco ball, which you can check out here.
