Lady Gaga made her first stop on the Dive Bar Tour, performing in Nashville in a much more intimate setting for the singer who is used to selling out arenas. Gaga, who has been announced as the performer for the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show, has set out on a three-date Dive Bar Tour to promote her upcoming disc, the rock-influenced Joanne.
Nashville’s show marked the first time Gaga has performed the Joanne track “A-Yo.” Gaga uploaded the performance on YouTube yesterday, showing off her new Joanne-influenced pink fedora and guitar-playing skills.
The Nashville show also included performances of Gaga’s new tracks “Sinner’s Prayer” and the album’s lead single, “Perfect Illusion.”
In addition to “A-Yo,” Gaga also uploaded a live version of “Million Reasons” from the Dive Bar Tour. The emotional performance fittingly included backing vocals from Nashville royalty, songwriter Hillary Lindsey, who co-wrote the song with Gaga.
Lady Gaga’s Dive Bar Tour has two more US dates on October 20 and 27 with the cities yet to be announced. Gaga’s fifth studio album Joanne set to be released this week on October 21.
