Lana Del Rey Goes Surfing In New Album Trailer

Lana Del Rey has only dropped the trailer for her upcoming album Norman Fucking Rockwell and she’s already back with a bang.

Already from the beginning of the trailer, we can tell this album will have the perfect summer vibes (even though it comes out August 30). It’s dreamy and lo-fi, a hypnotic masterpiece that pairs so well with her voice.

Starting with a monologue about the sun, seas, and surfers, the trailer moves onto Del Rey looking all vintage glam on a surfboard in front of a green screen. Other scenes include Miss “Summertime Sadness” swinging on the beach to her Sublime cover of “Doin’ Time,” surfing on (what we hope is Venice Beach) to “Venice Bitch,” chilling by a seaside to previously released “Mariners Apartment Complex,” and meditating in nature to “Norman fucking Rockwell.” The video ends with a voiceover recording about the journey of the mind, very fitting considering this trailer took us on a journey.

Shown in the beginning credits, Norman Fucking Rockwell was produced by Jack Antonoff, who’s known for producing hit albums for Taylor Swift, Lorde, and St. Vincent. So if you had any doubts about this album, don’t, because we know it’ll be worth it.

Aside from announcing an album and dropping this trailer, Del Rey also just released dates for a Pacific Coast tour. Catch her in Vancouver on September 30.
