Listen Now: Grimes Curated A Playlist Of Songs She Loves

Canadian record producer, musical engineer and artist Grimes has created a collection of songs that she loves, featuring artists she feels a kinship towards.

The curated Spotify playlist titled “The Faé List” features artists who “write and produce their own shit.”

She goes on to explain the meaning of “Fae,” calling the blurb her manifesto. “The fae are the children living at the end of the world, who make art that reflects what its like to live knowing the earth may not sustain humanity much longer. We live knowing that environmentally driven genocide is nigh, that the least equipped are to be struck down by the very earth itself.”

The playlist includes Lil Uzi Vert’s “How to Talk,” Sza’s “Prom,” Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do,” and Cardi B’s No. 1 hit single “Bodak Yellow,” which Grimes tweeted was her favorite song at the moment.

Thus far, The Faé List has a roundup of 21 songs, but Grimes promises to update it with new content semi regularly as  time goes on. She also suggests to listeners that the vibe of the playlist is “good energy for gaming or drawing in particular.”
