Earlier this month, Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards announced that they had ended their two-year engagement and while the two have stayed pretty mum on the topic, Edwards did break down during a recent performance.
While performing a new break up song called The End for an AOL session in New York, Perrie burst into tears in the middle of her solo. In the song, she sings: “And I won’t be missing, missing you/And no one can love you, the way I used to do/But love isn’t fair (Love isn’t fair)/And I swear (This time I swear)/That this time/This is the end.”
Perrie’s bandmates quickly huddled around her to comfort her, with Jesy Nelson explaining to fans, “It’s been a long day, and we’ve had no sleep, so I think this is why this happened. We’re just very emotional.” Fans were super supportive, though, shouting, “We love you, Perrie!”
