If you’ve been following Lorde’s social media accounts lately, you know the singer has been busy globe trotting to promote her upcoming album Melodrama.
The New Zealand singer has performed on SNL, announced a handful of upcoming festival dates, dropped two stunning singles, and started to travel the world on a promo tour for the forthcoming album, out June 16.
So, how does the singer keep her energy level high for the grueling schedule? Three words: Cadbury Creme Eggs. Musicians have the coolest lives.
Lorde recently Instagrammed a selfie that showed the singer enjoying one of her favourite snacks that sadly only appears on shelves in the spring. But, maybe that’s a good thing, right? It makes indulging in a Cadbury Creme Egg *that* much more special.
Lorde stopped by the BBC Radio 1 this week to sit down with host Nick Grimshaw and the topic of the singer’s love of Cadbury Creme Eggs took front and centre. Rather than simply talk about how delicious the chocolate eggs are to eat, the two decided to sing about it.
Reworking the lyrics of Lorde’s lead Melodrama single “Green Light,” Lorde and Grimshaw took turns singing lines from the remixed track, including, “I’m waiting for it, that Creme Egg, I want it.” Catchy and yummy.
But seriously, what the heck is inside a Cadbury Creme Egg? You know what, we’re fine not knowing. Let’s just continue consuming copious amounts of sugar in the shape of an egg in ignorant bliss.
