Last week’s Coachella announcement served as the unofficial kick off to music festival season. Today we’ve received another huge announcement thanks to the annual four-day Tennessee music fest Bonnaroo.
Going into its 16th year, Bonnaroo 2017 is set to take place from June 8-11 and features an eclectic and impressive line up of artists that will surely keep any music fan dancing through the summer heat.
U2 was the first act announced, confirming they would be performing a set dedicated to the anniversary of their Grammy winning 1987 album Joshua Tree.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lorde, the xx, Major Lazer, Travis Scott, Tove Lo, Margo Price, Future Islands, Flume and more are all confirmed for this year’s Bonnaroo. Chance The Rapper is also set to perform, making Bonnaroo his third confirmed festival of the year following last week’s Coachella and Governor’s Ball announcements.
There will be no shortage of impressive Canadians acts on stage when thousands of music fans descend upon Manchester this June. The Weeknd, fresh off the release of his critically and commercially successful album Starboy will hit the festival. Tegan and Sara, who just finished a worldwide tour in support of Love You To Death will also play the fest.
The Strumbellas, who will also be performing the Governors Ball earlier in June, Tory Lanez, Crystal Castles and July Talk will representing Toronto at Bonnaroo.
