It’s been a while since we’ve heard Toronto’s own Drake take a break from spitting verses to remind the world that he’s one of the only rappers who boasts a pop-chart worthy voice.
Drake’s latest release, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, didn’t show off Drizzy’s musical aptitude on the mic, something we haven’t heard much of since 2013’s Nothing Was The Same.
Now Drake has teamed up again with fellow Toronto artists Majid Jordan for their track My Love and is proving that he’s still got the best pipes in the rap game.
Majid Jordan just dropped their dreamy and bass driven new single My Love, with a video to match the song’s sexiness. In the video, Majid Jordan and Drake are surrounded by a seemingly never-ending supply of beautiful women in various states of undress. The camera moves between the three artists, who are enjoying the view as well as a few drinks and some puffs, inside a line of giant rooms that make up what looks like a rundown motel from the outside.
It’s only fitting that Drake is singing on the new track, since the last time we really heard Drizzy sing was on Hold On We’re Going Home, which helped put Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman on the map. The duo are signed to Drake’s OVO Sound and their latest single My Love is hopefully a sign of a new album on the horizon.
