Majid Jordan Team Up With PartyNextDoor For ‘One I Want’ Video

Majid Jordan notoriously keep a low profile and then surprise fans with new work (presented in the coolest of ways) via social media. The release of the iconic “One I Want” music video featuring PartyNextDoor was no different. After some hinting on Twitter, our timelines have been blessed with the official video. This collaboration is the first between the two OVO artists—but we really hope it isn’t the last.

This video is reminiscent of the typical style of the Toronto artists’ aesthetic that oozes cool. It begins with the producer/singer duo speeding through city streets with cuts of an ominous ticking clock, static-filled TV screens and a close ups of a woman’s face. Cut to a shot of PartyNextDoor rolling into a smoky room with changing lights and several women who might be the ones they want.

Collabs between the OVO family always seem to be a hit. We’ve seen PartyNextDoor and Majid Jordan come together with Drake several times, with Majid Jordan also collabing with Roy Woods on “Chili Peppers” as well.

“One I Want” serves as the second track and video (after  “Phases,” which dropped in May) they’ve shared since releasing their debut self-titled last year. There’s no word yet, but we’re hoping “Phases” and “One I Want” means more music and another full length album to come in the near future.

You can catch all of OVO crew at the eighth annual OVOFEST this August 7 in Toronto.
