Migos Remake A Classic Song In ‘Carpool Karaoke’

Migos, Carpool Karaoke, The Late Late Show With James Corden

Migos were the latest guests to help James Corden get to work on this week’s episode of Carpool Karaoke. The host of The Late Late Show picked up the Atlanta trio to drive around the streets of L.A., performing the group’s biggest hits while also taking on a few classic tunes. We have no idea why the men decided to sing Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” but we do know that song is still a jam.

Corden managed to keep up with the spitfire delivery of the group’s songs, including their breakout track “Bad and Boujee,” their Drake collaboration “Walk It Talk It,” and “MotorSport” with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. Corden didn’t bring up the rift between Minaj and Offset’s wife Cardi, but we can tell he wanted to ask about it. Or maybe we just wanted him to ask about it.

Travelling with $210,000 in cash (the band ‘made it flood’ at a strip club the night before), Offset, Quavo and Takeoff took Corden clothes shopping, hoping to help the comedian get his drip on. It didn’t work, but it was still entertaining to watch.

The 15-minute clip also included Corden apologizing on behalf of all dads for destroying the dab before taking his dad-ness up a notch by suggesting that Migos remix Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.”

“You guys are so good at your ability to produce tracks that you could uplift any song with your ad-libs. Do you think you guys could add the Migos vibe to any song that’s been written?” asked Corden before hitting play on the classic sing-a-long track. We didn’t have high hopes for the collaboration, but it actually works. Like everything Migos touch, this song is a hit. Bap bap baaaaaap!
