We love you Hannah, but we listen to Miley.
Miley Cyrus’ new six-track EP She Is Coming has finally arrived after days of vaguely NSFW fruit-themed promo. It’s been two years since Cyrus released her last album, but She Is Coming makes it worth the wait as it features some sick vocal collaborations with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, RuPaul, Swae Lee, as well as producers like Mike WiLL Made-It, Mark Ronson, and Andrew Wyatt.
Thankfully, this isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of Cyrus this year, as on Instagram the singer revealed this is only the first of three EP drops, so keep your eyes peeled for She Is Here and She Is Everything in the summer and near the end of the year respectively. Mrs. Hemsworth also announced that the three EPs together will make up her new album with the potential title She Is Miley Cyrus.
Last Saturday during her performance at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Cyrus teased fans by debuting three songs (“Mother’s Daughter,” “Cattitude,” and “D.R.E.A.M.”) from the EP. Cyrus revealed on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp that She Is Coming has been in the works since “kind of early last year,” and referred to the EP as a “combination of places she’s been in her life, from travelling to experience, and things she’s learned along the way.”
What do you think of Miley Cyrus’ edgy new music? And more importantly, do you think the Nicki Minaj and Cardi B call-out in “Cattitude” will be the next viral Internet meme?
