Shazam’s Zachary Levi is all set to host tonight’s big show. The DC star has all the makings of a perfect host—don’t miss it.
This year’s show is filled with one of the most diverse set of nominees to date. Endgame, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Us are all up for Best movie, and Gina Rodriguez, Jason Mitchell, and Elizabeth Moss are all nominated for best performance in a show. Not only do we have a superhero host, but we also have Maisie Williams and Brie Larson up for the best hero award. Girl power!
“Truth Hurts” breakout singer Lizzo is performing, and her upbeat tracks are reason enough to tune in. Not to mention Bazzi will be performing his song “Paradise.”
All around icon and Red Table Talk host Jada Pinkett Smith is receiving the Trailblazer Award tonight, and that title could not be more fitting. The Girls Trip star will be presented the award by her co-star Tiffany Haddish, making the moment all the more special.
Some of the award categories for tonight include Best Kiss, Best Villain, and Most Meme-able Moment. Best Kiss is always iconic, with Love, Simon stealing the show last year, but there’s no telling who will win tonight. Will it be Riverdale’s real-life couple Charles Melton and Camila Mendes or fall’s breakout stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo?
Ultra talented jack-of-all-trades Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is receiving the Generation Award, joining the club of past winners that include Chris Pratt, Will Smith, and Sandra Bullock. Looking back on Johnson’s career so far, it’s clear that there’s nothing this man can’t do—making him the perfect one to receive this massive achievement tonight.
