Court is in session for Tyco.
Announced at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montréal, Much Studios will be partnering with long time creators 4YE for an original comedy web series titled Judge Tyco.
The new web series is based on 4YE’s popular recurring character Tyco, who is known as being one of Toronto’s top goons. Judge Tyco will take place in a courtroom where the unqualified Tyco has been appointed judge, ruling over the trivial cases of teenagers.
“Much Studios has been super supportive to us over the years, and we couldn’t think of a better team to partner with,” said 4YE in a release. “They support our ideas no matter how wild and we’re very excited to bring this series to life.”
Brothers Jae and Trey Richards of 4YE (formerly 4YallEntertainment) are best known for their comedy sketches, parodies, vlogs, rants, and odes to Toronto. Over the last seven years, the Brampton-born, Toronto-based duo have been creating stand-out comedy content, gaining them a loyal audience of more than 1 million YouTube subscribers and more than 90 million lifetime views. Since joining with Much Studios in 2015, 4YE has grown their audience by five times of that and have gained recognition from A-list entertainers like Kevin Hart and Drake.
The eight-part web series will start production this summer and will launch on Much.com and YouTube later this year.
