Niall Horan Singing Camila Cabello Is The Cover We Needed Today

Niall Horan, Camila Cabello, Cover

When Camila Cabello released her debut solo album Camila in January, we were slightly disappointed that the former Fifth Harmony didn’t include her debut single “Crying In The Club.”

Dropping the dark pop track back in May 2017, Cabello also debuted her first music video to coincide with the sombre song, which also featured an intro of the raw and personal “I Have Questions.” The pop star later performed “Crying In The Club” at the 2017 iHeartRadio MMVAs in June, but decided to leave the lead single off her debut.

Thankfully, we’re not the only ones who are still loving the track. During his recent stop in Killarney, Ireland as part of his Flicker World Tour, Niall Horan covered “Crying In The Club,” putting his own spin on the pop track and giving it an uplifting and folksy makeover. Considering Cabello made the decision to audition for The X Factor, thus kick starting her career, because she was such a huge fan of One Direction, this is about as cool as it gets.

No big surprise, Cabello quickly responded to the cover, tweeting out an abundance of hand clapping and roses emjois. So yeah, she likes it too.

When it comes to Niall’s choice of covers, we love that the pop singer often performs tributes to the female artists he’s inspired by in the music industry. In addition to his most recent cover of “Crying In The Club,” Niall has previously covered singer songwriter Julia Michaels, who helped pen many of Fifth Harmony’s biggest hits, including “Miss Movin’ On” and “All In My Head (Flex).”

Horan covered Michael’s debut single “Issues” back in June and obviously found a fan in Michaels. The “Issues” singer is now the opening act for Horan’s Flicker World Tour.

Niall Horan’s Flicker World Tour makes its only Canadian stop in Toronto on September 5.
