Niall Horan has been busy touring the world this year to promote his debut solo album, Flicker. The former member of One Direction has already dropped a handful of singles and videos, kicking off his solo career with “This Town” and following it up with “Slow Hands,” “Too Much To Ask” and most recently, “On The Loose.”
Along with his nightly performances of music from Flicker, Horan has been entertaining fans with his impressive line up of opening artists. Touring with singer/songwriter Julia Michaels and Maren Morris, who also appears on one of Horan’s tracks from Flicker, the tour has been gaining rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
So, what does Niall listen to while he’s on the road? In many cases, the music made by his famous friends. Horan recently shared his tour playlist on Spotify, showing off a collection of classic rock hits that influenced his sound and new tracks recorded by his contemporaries.
The playlist features music by both Michaels and Morris, as well as Khalid and Imagine Dragons, who Horan performed alongside at the 2017 iHeartRadio MMVAs. Kicking off the playlist with an empowering track, Horan included English singer Dua Lipa and her single “IDGAF.”
Paying homage to the rock gods of yesterday, Horan’s 2018 Tour Playlist also features “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, “Life In the Fast Lane” by The Eagles, and “I’m On Fire” by Bruce Springsteen.
Horan is currently on the European leg of his world tour, travelling to Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Latin America before kicking off dates in the U.S. and Canada in July. Horan is scheduled to play Toronto on September 5.
