Niall Horan is continuing to live that solo singer life, and has now announced his first tour.
Dubbing the small tour Flicker Sessions 2017, the new set of dates marks Horan’s first official set of solo dates since One Direction began their hiatus. Niall has previously toured as part of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2016 tour and played a number of festivals and award shows, including making his debut at the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards this past June (watch here).
The 21-date tour will take Horan from the UK to Mexico and the US, with one Canadian date on November 1 at Massey Hall in Toronto.
With only two official singles under his belt, including “This Town” and “Slow Hands, today’s tour announcement hopefully signals more new music from the Irish singer. Horan has incorporated one additional new track into his festival sets this year with “On The Loose,” which he first performed at Wango Tango.
Horan has still yet to officially announced his debut solo album, but Flicker Sessions 2017 is definitely giving us hope.
Today’s announcement makes Niall the second former One Direction member to head out on tour this year. His former bandmate Harry Styles released his self-titled debut solo album in May, with a tour set to kick off September 19 in San Francisco. Harry Styles: Live on Tour includes 88 shows that will take Styles around the world, with three Canadian dates scheduled.
