The BDSM-loving franchise Fifty Shades of Grey returned to theatres this past weekend with its second film, Fifty Shades Darker. While the reviews of the new film haven’t been kind, the soundtrack continues to be one of the most anticipated of the year.
Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik kicked things off for Fifty Shades Darker with their surprising duet “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” in December. Now, Nick Jonas and Nicki Minaj have dropped their new track “Bom Bidi Bom” and, as promised by Jonas, it’s baby-making music.

“Bom Bidi Bom” has none of the dramatic yearning of “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” instead giving listeners a playful and danceable track that both sneaks in and overtly drops sexually-charged lines.
Jonas takes up most of the single, with Fifty Shades-appropriate lines like, “I’m an addict, I’m your patient / Your lips are the medication.” As for Minaj, the musician drops her trademark confident, NSFW lines, like, “He said, if he can’t hit my bullseye, he’d rather die / He put it on me better than any other guy / He said, he need a bad bitch with an alibi.”
The soundtrack for Fifty Shades Darker is now available and we can only hope that new music videos to support it will be coming our way, because we need a Nick Jonas/Nicki Minaj video for “Bom Bidi Bom” stat. Two of the hottest musicians in the world making a music video for a super hot song? Yes, please. We’ve already got ideas for a visual treatment of “Bom Bidi Bom.”
Lots of ideas.
