It looks like iconic boy band *NSYNC will be dancing into our hearts once again—well, sort of, maybe. Member Lance Bass has revealed that the group plans to reunite when their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is unveiled later this year.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Bass teased, “We’re doing something. I don’t know if I can announce it yet.” And just like that, we are on the edge of our seats anxiously waiting for what this “something” will be.
*NSYNC announced a temporary hiatus back in 2002 and later confirmed they had officially broken up in 2007, but we knew they weren’t saying “bye bye bye” forever.
The hinted reunion could be comparable to when the other members joined Justin Timberlake on stage during his 2013 MTV VMAs performance. Or maybe it will be something more low key, like the band’s mini-reunion at member JC Chasez’s 40th birthday party last year.
Bass confirmed all members of *NSYNC will be at Walk of Fame ceremony, which is expected to take place sometime around this Christmas, along with a vinyl re-release of their 1998 Home for Christmas album to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Could this mean there is a comeback album for *NSYNC on the horizon? A girl can only dream.
