Hear The Original Version Of Rihanna’s ‘Work,’ Featuring No Rihanna

Rihanna’s huge single “Work,” is one of the biggest songs in the world right now. The song held the Billboard Hot 100’s No. 1 spot for nine consecutive weeks, before being dethroned by Brooklyn rapper Desiigner’s “Panda.”

Now, the original version of the song has leaked to the public, and there’s no Rihanna anywhere near it. This version of the song still features Drake, but is helmed by his OVO signee, PARTYNEXTDOOR, who was originally credited for writing on Rihanna’s version of the song.

This leak is not surprising, as a 30-second snippet of the song had come out two months ago when Keke Palmer was seen playing it on her Snapchat, so it was only a matter of time before the full version found its way to the public.

Other than the obvious change of PARTYNEXTDOOR taking the reigns rather than Rihanna, there are some slight changes to Drake’s verse (You got a lot on your shoulders/Listen to me ’cause I’m older).

According to some sources, Drake’s camp played the song for Rihanna, and the Barbadian singer allegedly asked to have the song for herself.
