Paramore just released a new music video “Caught In The Middle,” where they take us on an adventure to a land of TV glitches, rotating shapes and abnormally sized fruits big enough to run the whole band over.
The catchy bop and colourful video takes us back to our inner-punk phase—a time where we never wanted to grow up and always had our headphones in at full volume.
Corresponding to the playful, retro visuals, frontwoman Hayley Williams tells the of story of feeling stuck in between who she is and who she was with the lyrics, “I can’t think of getting old/ It only makes me want to die/ Nostalgia’s cool, but it won’t help me now.”
Directed by Computer Team, the video draws inspiration from old-school MTV and the ’80s with bold digital designs and motion graphics. Computer Team, a Portland-based creative studio, were also the masterminds behind the flashy video for “Rose-Colored Boy”)
“Caught In The Middle” appears on Paramore’s 2017 album After Laughter.
