The members of PrettyMuch have a singing party on a school bus in new video for “Gone 2 Long.”
The music video features the boys passionately singing on a school bus with a choir as backup. Simple yet sweet. The song, a gospel-esque hit, has all members joining together to form a euphoric harmony filled with runs and ad libs that only add to its soulfulness. With a backing choir, the song is taken to another level of emotion that we’re sure will have all fans wishing they were the girl the boys are singing about.
Written, arranged, and produced by PrettyMuch’s youngest Brandon Arreaga, the song is about his now ex-girlfriend, which made it very personal for him. Talking to Arjan Writes on A-List Pop on Beats 1, he explained that “this song, in particular, I didn’t personally want to sing a lead-lead in it… Just because it is very personal.” Raise your hand if you want to give Arreaga hug after hearing this, because we sure do.
This video comes just days after the drop of their sophomore EP, Phases. Featuring singles “Gone 2 Long” and title track “Phases,” along with four more vocally-driven tracks, the EP is a perfect showcase of the boys’ talent and R&B style.
Austin Porter, Nick Mara, Edwin Honoret, Zion Kuwonu, and Brandon Arreaga will be touring their Phases EP this summer on the FOMO tour. Starting in Irving, Texas on July 11, the boys will be making a stop in Toronto on July 26 at Rebel, with the tour concluding in Vancouver on August 16 at Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Tickets can be found here.
