Rihanna Continues To Make History With Work

It’s obvious why Rihanna was using so much crown imagery in the lead up to her album Anti and has been since its release. She’s absolutely running the Billboard charts right now and is Working her way to the Billboard throne.

Work has now topped the charts for the eighth week in a row. This is RiRi’s fourteenth No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. That puts her in position of third for most number one singles of all time. Only Mariah Carey (who has 18) and The Beatles (20) are ahead of her.

Rihanna has made more history with the dance track, as this marks the 59th week one of her songs has been No. 1. That ties The Beatles for second most cumulative weeks atop the charts. Unfortunately for Rihanna, she still has almost half a year to go if she wants to grab the top spot from Mariah Carey, whose music has spent a total of 79 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This girl RiRi she's not bad. See I'm smiling I ain't mad.

In case you can’t get enough Rihanna (we won’t blame you), she’s set to release a documentary with director Peter Berg. The two previously worked together on the movie Battleship. According to the website for the project, “Peter Berg’s Rihanna is an unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.”

There’s no official release date for the project yet.
